SUMMER FUN & SAILING BY ANDREA FACCIO
The summer arrives, and every year, it's the same story: I completely renounce the idea of wearing shoes. Since the beginning of June my feet have found freedom and are resting comfy on my Havaianas in the fresh air. I have to say that it's almost instinctive for me to enjoy summer as nature intended, by going to buy a pair of flip-flops. Each year is represented by a color for me, but, this year, I couldn’t decide so bought two pairs, one with grey tones in an attempt to keep the cloudy days away, and the other multicolored, redolent of surfboards, reminding me to spend every sunny day I can drifting through the lagoon on my SUP.
I have to say that this year I started in style, spending a week sailing around the Aeolian Islands, when getting on and off the boat being in the water made the idea of lacing shoes even less appealing. Off the boat, I went to Ibiza,; although it was terra firma, my Havaianas were the best way to stay comfortable, and meant I was always ready for a dive...
I have plans for many trips. Soon there will be another week of sailing in southern Italy, and I will find myself happily lost among the Croatian islands, occasionally planting my feet on dry land.
Although my plans may not be definite, one thing is for certain - I will never give up on the sea my Havaianas.
