• Conservation of marine biodiversity, a cause we embraced

Have you ever thought how incredible it is to be able to help conserve Brazilian marine life for over 10 years? That's what Havaianas Conservation International (CI) does.

7% of sales of flip flops from this collection go to the NGO CI-Brasil. Since 2009, we have worked together in the conservation of marine life, mainly in the Abrolhos region, where the most biodiversity of the South Atlantic is located.

This partnership has already protected 939,000 acres of marine and coastal ecosystems.

  • How does conservation work work?

CI conducts scientific research aimed at conserving nature in its most fundamental elements: food, water, livelihoods and climate stability.

The actions range from tracking fish that later arrive at your table, to generating a sustainable economy for more than 100,000 people who depend on fishing and tourism in the region.

  • Dive into this cause

Every year, the Havaianas CI collection brings prints of marine animals present in the biome of the Abrolhos region, along with their scientific names and species information. In this way, our consumers from more than 100 countries can get to know the richness of Brazilian biodiversity.

    About CI

Created in 1990, Conservation International is a Brazilian non-profit organization that works to ensure a healthy and productive planet for all. Its goal is to teach society to care for nature responsibly through dialogue, partnerships and scientific innovations.
