• Always next to those who love nature

The partnership between Havaianas and the Ecological Research Institute (IPÊ) has existed for over 15 years and aims to support the conservation of Brazilian fauna and flora.

7% of sales of Havaianas Ipê flip flops go to the institute, which develops projects aimed at the conservation of the Atlantic Forest, the Amazon and the Pantanal.

In practice, what does it mean?

With this initiative, more than 3.2 million trees have already been planted in the Atlantic Forest, helping to preserve several species.

The partnership also helped to fight Pantanal fires in 2020 and currently supports research and construction of fire prevention strategies in the region.

  • An animal collection

Every year, a new Havaianas Ipê collection is launched, which includes information and prints of animals from the Brazilian fauna and their habitats.

Since 2004, different species of animals have been presented in Havaianas Ipê products, showing the richness of Brazilian biodiversity to more than 100 countries and raising awareness on environmental conservation.

It is a creative initiative towards social and environmental responsibility, and gives consumers the opportunity to purchase a product that portrays the natural beauty of Brazil while knowing that they are contributing to conservation.

    About IPÊ

The Ecological Research Institute is considered one of the largest environmental NGOs in Brazil. The work, which began with the Mico-Leão-Preto Project in 1992, now has more than 80 professionals working on more than 30 projects per year, in places such as Pontal do Paranapanema and Nazaré Paulista (SP), Baixo Rio Negro (AM), Pantanal and Cerrado (MS).
